1. Scope
This method is intended for determining the dry weight ratio of leather fibers in bonded leather.
This method is applicable to bonded leather material or composite material consisting of bonded leather.
This method is not applicable for bonded leather material or composite material that contains animal glue and animal fibers

Establish a test method that improves the clarity and precision of testing recycled leather fiber materials. Eliminate the risks associated with the current Kjeldahl method ASTM D2868. Define an appropriate test method that supports new definition of "Recycled Leather Fibers".
