1. Scope
1.1 This practice describes the determination of the points on a thermal curve identified as the extrapolated onset, the extrapolated endpoint, the first-deviation-from baseline, peak and the return-to-base.

Rationale
The identified terms are used in a number of E37 (on Thermal Measurements) standards where only occasionally is their a description on how the values are to be determined. This Practice will describe a common procedure for all E37 standards.
