New Specification for Systems and Equipment for Light Sport Aircraft
1. Scope
This specification defines the minimum requirements for systems and equipment fitted to light sport category aircraft. This includes those items necessary for safe operation for all phases of flight as described in the POH. The standards is written in a manner intended to address minimum requirements requirements and is not intended to be exhaustive or prescriptive in nature.

Rationale
As part of the restructuring of the LSA standards to support the MOSAIC rulemaking effort, all content related to systems and equipment is being merged into a single standard that will be applicable to all aircraft types.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
