Revision of D3878-23 Standard Terminology for Composite Materials
Rationale
This ballot covers a consolidated revision to D3878-23 undertaken after completion of the “Hard Scrub” effort of Subcommittee D30.01 (Editorial and Resource Standards). Several ballots were conducted in 2023-25 (WK88931, WK89359, WK93730) at both the Subcommittee and Main Committee levels to address those technical concerns. Feedback was taken and incorporated in revised definitions. We are now at the point where a final document revision has been compiled, with all proposed changes shown herein being balloted for approval. While there certainly remain some differences of opinion, we do believe we have captured the consensus recommendations of the D30 committee feedback
