Revision of F2836-18(2024) Standard Practice for Gasket Constants for Bolted Joint Design
Rationale
This work item provides the following correction and improvement:
1. Further clarification of terminology is defined in section 3.2 and test specimen in section 8.1.
2. In Table 5, the parameters Ve and Vi are defined in this work item and the error in note 1 is also corrected.
3. The test pair usage is updated in 11.1.1.1
4. Table 8 Behaviors has been updated with correct steps and clear format. The related description in 12.2.3 is also corrected.
5. Section 15.2.2.1 is revised to align to the update of Table 8.
6. Section 15.2.4 is added to include the data validation result reporting.
7. Minor formatting adjustment
