1. Scope
Provide a practice for the dimensional measurements of resilient floor tiles and planks in the field to determine the conformance to manufacturer dimensional specifications.

Rationale
There is currently no standard for resilient flooring to be accurately measured in the field to determine the conformance to the specified dimensions.
Changes in dimension can negatively alter the aesthetics of the installed flooring, and shrinkage gaps can create an issue in maintaining sanitary floor requirements.
The users will likely be flooring manufacturers, flooring inspectors and consultants, contractors, and end users.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
