1. Scope
This Guide will provide the overall framework to the corrective action process for contaminated sediment sites. Importantly, it will serve as a reference to the multiple ASTM sediment related Guides already in existence and provide support on organizing and presenting sediment corrective action strategy.

There are roughly twelve ASTM sediment related standards addressing various technical and decision-making criteria. These include, background calculation, analytical techniques, long term monitoring, NAPL, and ebullition. This Guide will provide a framework for where, when, and how to integrate all of these into a corrective action process.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
