New Specification for Additive manufacturing for construction -- process characteristics and performance -- specification for manufactured polymeric UV cured structures for residential applications
1. Scope
This specification is intended to apply to structures for residential construction of structures/buildings manufactured with a three-dimensional printing process with polymeric UV cured materials, where the structures can be building components or complete volumetric modules comprising a portion or the entirety of the constructed building. The manufactured UV Cured structures that comply with this specification are intended to be used as building components defined as a portion of a wall, floor, and roof for the building; exterior and interior, above and below grade bearing and non-bearing walls; retaining walls; or complete volumetric modules.
Keywords
3D printing; additive manufacturing; prefabrication; composites
Rationale
