Committee J01 on Effect of Temperature on the Properties of Metals, which is a joint committee of the American Society for Testing and Materials, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and Metal Properties Council, sponsored the symposium. R. G. Broadwell, TIMET, and C. F. Hickey, Jr., Army Materials and Mechanics Research Center, presided as symposium chairmen.
