Mechanical Properties and Test Techniques for Reinforced Plastic Laminates

Various test specimen shapes for determining tensile, compressive, and edgewise shear properties of reinforced plastic laminates are compared. Tests were performed and data collected for the various shape specimens from three specific resin content panels at various temperature in both dry and wet condition. Recommendations as to the most reliable specimen shapes are given based upon evaluation of tests performed.
