Applicator Considerations in Glazing
The problems and concerns of a sealant applicator in glazing work are somewhat vague and uncertain rather than scientifically exact and subject to precise controls. It is the uncertainties of weather, job conditions, personnel, variations of materials, and other factors at least partially beyond the control of the applicator that make the applicator's task difficult and which, in turn, make it difficult to define accurately the applicator's concerns. This paper cannot possibly define and explain each variable because the variables are endless. It will identify some of the more common problems and attempt briefly to explain how these problems affect the applicator's work.
