Experimental Stress Analysis—Where ASTM and SESA Meet

In the last analysis the engineer produces hardware. The testmeasurement techniques quantified by ASTM and SESA are therefore only avenues to the production of good hardware. Such avenues must be synthesized into a meaningful whole in order to provide the engineer with useful information. The major factors involved in this synthesis are discussed.
