Accuracy of measurement of dissolvable solids in saturated steam at high pressures is greatly increased by separating out the moisture at 550 psia, then determining the solids in the separated moisture by conductivity or other means. The method is applicable to purification of saturated steam leaving modern boilers. The method supplements present conductivity measurements.
