Odor Control Methods: A Critical Review
SourceMethods now commercially available for control of odors by treatment of the odorous air may be divided into four general classifications: combustion, adsorption, absorption, and vapor mixing. Odors may, of course, also be controlled by eliminating or reducing their source, or by diluting the odorous air before it reaches humans—by a stack, for example—but such methods will not be considered in this review. Instead, this paper will be restricted to a critical evaluation of the four air treatment methods mentioned above.
