Fracture Surface and Processes in Polycarbonate
SourceSeveral fracture mechanisms in polycarbonate are demonstrated on the basis of microfractographic methods using light microscope as well as transmission and scanning electron microscope techniques. Various types of fracture surfaces, produced by single cycle overload in normal and corrosive environment and by impact loads, are discussed. The main interest, however, is concentrated on the fatigue fracture surfaces and the fatigue striation feature.
