Future Developments in Cross-Country Skiing Equipment
SourceSkiing can be described as a relationship between man, equipment, and the environment. Different skiing techniques require different performance in a ski. Comparisons of the horizontal force and the maximum speed for the three basic methods of skiing are shown. New designs for cross-country ski bindings with release functions, which are also adjustable longitudinally to the ski, and test equipment for measuring the ski's quality of friction are discussed.
