Electroforming techniques were developed in the manufacture of specific piece parts with requirements that would have been difficult to maintain by conventional manufacturing methods. The new process, which involves the use of standard acid copper and sulfamate nickel baths, resulted in a number of advantages such as cost reduction, uniformity of parts, and reduction in tool investment.
