In-Line Gasoline Blending Trends, Economics, and the Use of Continuous Analyzers for Quality Control
SourceGasoline in-line blending systems offer refiners substantial savings over batch blending methods, and their use is increasing steadily. The full potential savings cannot be realized, however, until approval by ASTM and others of continuous test methods for verification of quality where custody transfer is involved. This paper discusses the principles and economics of in-line blending and the importance of continuous analytical methods.
