In order to determine the effects of variables on the performance of pressure vessels it is necessary to fabricate pressure vessels rapidly and accurately so that statistical data can be obtained. A filament winding system has been developed to make 8-in. diameter vessels with about 2 man-hours of labor each. These vessels can be tested on an Instron Tester.
