Many problems of current interest to industry are concerned with the effect of minute amounts of impurities on the chemical, electrical, metallurgical, magnetic, and other properties of various materials. With the advent of metals of ultra-high purity has come a need for methods of analysis of trace impurities considerably more sensitive than those previously available.
