Radiation Effects on Welds and Notches in Plain Carbon Steels, Stainless Steels, and Non-Ferrous Alloys
SourceWelding of pressure vessels and piping systems for conventional power plants is not particularly unique. However, vessels and components for nuclear power reactors must be recognized as presenting design problems that have not existed in conventional plants. Primary among these problems is an evaluation of welded structures and internal stresses under high, integrated neutron flux levels at various temperatures.
