Atmospheric Corrosion Behavior of Some Nickel Alloys

Subcommittee VI on Atmospheric Corrosion of ASTM Committee B-3 on Corrosion of Non-Ferrous Metals and Alloys has completed a 20-yr atmospheric corrosion testing program on 24 nonferrous metals. Included were specimens of nickel (metal T) and of monel (metal S). The results on these two materials are summarized and considered in detail in the present paper.
