This paper is a report of a comprehensive survey of the literature on the effect of impurities in tin metal on the properties of the metal itself, as well as the effect of these impurities on the performance of the metal when employed as an alloying constituent, including the effect of the impurities on the properties of the resulting alloys. Correlation was attempted, particularly in those areas where there is disagreement in the literature.
