The Use of Lead and Tin Outdoors
SourceThis paper pertains to the service rendered by the use of lead and tin exposed to the atmosphere. It includes comments on reports of Subcommittee VI on Atmospheric Corrosion of A.S.T.M. Committee B-3 which discuss the behavior of lead, 1 per cent antimonial lead, and tin as judged by tests, made periodically, of specimens exposed to the atmosphere at various locations in the United States. It is timely, following the completion of the examination of test specimens that have been exposed for periods of from one to ten years.
