Resistance of Copper Alloys to Atmospheric Corrosion
SourceResistance to corrosion by natural outdoor atmospheres is an important property of metals. The exposure tests conducted by A.S.T.M. Committee B-3 on Corrosion of Non-Ferrous Metals and Alloys, which have now reached the 10-yr. mark, have added a large amount of data to the existing literature on the atmospheric corrosion of non-ferrous metals. It is the purpose of the present paper to correlate and discuss the data on copper alloys obtained from the tests carried out by Subcommittee VI on Atmospheric Corrosion of Committee B-3.
