Test Criteria for Ford Passenger Car Rear Axle Lubricants

The performance and physical tests used by the Ford Motor Co. in specifying requirements for passenger car rear axle lubricants are outlined. Lubricant designs based on these performance requirements are incorporated in axle lubricants to provide proper lubrication for an extended service period of 100,000 miles.
