General Motors Rear Axle Lubricant Recommendations

A solution to the problem of recommending rear axle lubricant to the car owner requires the availability of good quality products, together with identification of these products.

Rear axle lubricant of the MIL-L-2105B quality level is needed for General Motors cars. Some GM divisions will advise car owners to use MIL-L-2105B lubricants in 1963 cars. Such lubricants should be made available at retail outlets, and they should be clearly identified.
