Electron Metallography of Neutron-Irradiated Steels

A number of neutron-irradiated steel specimens have been examined by means of electron metallography. Electron micrographs comparing the structure of irradiated and unirradiated USS T-1 constructional alloy steel, AISI type 347 stainless steel, and ASTM A 201 carbon steel are included. The radiation-induced changes in microstructure are described and interpreted.
