Respirator Filtration Efficiency Testing

The existing methods for evaluating particulate respirator filters as found in 30 CFR Part 11 are presented. Shortcomings with these methods are discussed in detail. NIOSH's research objectives for updating particulate respirator filter testing are presented along with some research findings. Conclusions are drawn from these results and areas of future research in respirator particulate filter evaluation are stated.
