Subcommittee XII was organized in 1947 to develop or assemble methods for conducting exterior exposure tests of paints on wood, from procedures then current. It took 4 years to accomplish this. Wayne R. Fuller, Grand Rapids Varnish Co., was responsible for organizing and guiding the activities of the committee.
