Applications of Emission Spectroscopy to Trace Element Analysis in Plant and Soil Samples
SourceThis paper describes spectrographic procedures which have been of use in agricultural research. Included has been a discussion of the approach used to design satisfactory analytical procedures and a description of some of the problems in which these methods have been used.
The use of spectrographic techniques in agriculture is not new, neither is it limited in scope. In fact, this approach is used all over the world where problems of this nature are studied. It is regretted that all such work cannot be acknowledged in a paper such as this. As the field of analytical spectroscopy continues to grow and develop, it may be expected that workers in agriculture will continue to take advantage of the methods of spectroscopy to help solve problems that would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to study by other methods.
