There have been a number of excellent papers on bulk sampling published by the Society. Special mention might be made of the basic paper on sampling by S. S. Wilks (1), the paper by Louis Tanner and W. Edwards Deming (2), and the ASTM Symposium on Bulk Sampling (3) held in 1951.
