Comparison Radiographs of Welds: A Progress Report on Behalf of Subcommittee II on Standard Radiographs OP Committee E-7 on Non-Destructive Testing
SourceRadiography has for many years been the principal method for the non-destructive testing and inspection of materials of industry in their varied stages of production from the initial raw state to the: finished product. The finished products so tested are literally limitless in their variety—weldments, castings, and combinations of these in all of the metals and alloys. In addition, a considerable amount of assembled objects, partially metallic and partially nonmetallic such as glass, rubber, and plastics, is radiographically tested for detection of jointure flaws, or for alignment, or both.
