Rapid Determination of Cyanide in Waste Waters
SourceA simple, direct, and rapid method is presented for the determination of cyanide in waste waters employing a selective ion electrode. The method can tolerate up to 100 ppm of sulfide in the sample and incidentally detects sulfide down to 0.05 ppm. The range of the method is 0.03 to 100 ppm cyanide and a single determination can be completed in about 3 min including the filtration of sulfide, if present, in the sample. The method has been in routine operation for about three years.
