Chemical Colors
SourceWith few exceptions chemical colors, whether of organic or inorganic origin, are precipitates. A wide variety of raw materials is employed in their production, it being necessary for the manufacturer of a well diversified line to employ several hundred raw materials, such as bichromate of soda, chlorate of soda, prussiate of soda, sulfuric, nitric, hydrochloric and acetic acids, litharge, lead carbonate, aluminum sulfate, soda ash, caustic soda, copperas, barium chloride, tin crystals, sodium tungstate, various dyestuffs and intermediates, etc.
