We, of course, all realize that the subject “drying oils” is very broad; all we can hope to do is to review briefly the various types of oils being produced today as against those produced in the past, and to make more or less general statements. It will be the author's purpose to point out the changes that have occurred in the production of drying oils, and some of the problems that are before us today which are being considered from a research standpoint, with the thought of developing new products from the material now available.
