Suggested Methods of Field Procedure for the Design of Cutback Asphalt-Soil Mixtures

This procedure is intended to classify soils in the field so that orderly planning for construction of pavement structures may be facilitated. It is especially applicable for rapid analysis of soils in the field. With a minimum of equipment and in a comparatively short time, essential information can be obtained on available soil materials so that the type of construction can be chosen and preliminary plans prepared for the required work.
