Suggested Method of Test for Organic Carbon Content of Soil by Wet Combustion
SourceThe method described herein is an elemental chemical analysis to determine the noncarbonate (organic) carbon content of soil. It is designed to avoid errors that result from the presence of common contaminants in most soil classes. By multiplying the carbon content by a constant, the results may optionally be reported as organic matter content.
