Intergranular Fatigue Fracture of Chemical Lead at Room Temperature
SourceIntergranular fatigue fracture was investigated by performing a series of torsional reversed creep and fatigue tests on tubular specimens of chemical lead at room temperature.
It is shown that the intergranular fatigue life, 2Nfgb, is related to the amount of grain-boundary sliding per reversal, ΔUgb, by a simple expression
A“strain rate modified strain range” parameter is found to be useful for describing the strain rate dependence of the intergranular fatigue fracture.
