Damage Growth Under Nonproportional Loading
SourceThe objective of the study is to quantify the growth rate of damage which occur when materials are subjected to variable nonproportional loading at elevated temperatures. Fast and slow nonproportional cyclic tests are performed on circular tubes and observations made on the deformation history, life, and nature of damage accumulation. The results are then related to a general theory of creep-fatigue damage description which has recently been formulated.
