Corrosion of Metals—State of Organization in the Field
SourceThis paper reviews the present state of organization of world-wide activity in the study of the corrosion of metals. Reference will be made to the organizations in various countries involved in the study of metallic corrosion, the forums at which the research and technology are discussed, the journals in which the results are published, and the handbooks and textbooks available on the subject. The sources of standards, recommended practices, and specifications are identified. It will be seen that there is participation by governments, industries, and universities, and that an effective system of organizing and publishing the available information exists.
