The preceding chapter on labeling suggests the value of individual efforts in health care institutions to correct potential and actual health hazards. The integration of the fields of clinical and hospital engineering in hospital management has brought a new perspective on technology management to the health care industry and the individual institution utilizing this resource. Such in-house efforts offer great promise in developing solutions to recurring problems and raising the quality of care through technology management.
