SourceThe use of objective scientific measurements in medicine has grown rapidly over the last few decades. All present information suggests that quantitative measurements, particularly clinical chemistry testing on blood, urine, and tissues by any number of instrumented electrochemical, enzymatic, and immunochemical techniques, will continue to rise in total volume and in the variety of discrete analytes determined.
