State Controls of Evaporative Emissions
SourceTwenty-six states have adopted regulations to control evaporative emissions from petroleum products in the distribution system. In no state except New Jersey would the true vapor pressure limit of 10.3 kPa (1.5 psia) be critical for reduced flash Jet A or Jet A-1 fuels. In New Jersey, equipment to control “breathing” of storage tanks would be required if the flash point were below 38°C (100°F).
