Resin Flow During Autoclave Cure of Graphite-Epoxy Composites

Source

Resin flow during autoclave cure of graphite-epoxy composites was measured experimentally as a function of time. The data indicate that the ply-stacking sequence of the composite does not significantly influence the total resin mass loss. Resin flow data obtained from composites with different ply thicknesses and dimensions were compared with the results of the model of Loos and Springer. Good agreement was found between the data and the model.
