Heterodyne Interferometry
SourceHeterodyne interferometry is a technique for measuring directly the optical path difference between two wavefronts. In contrast to traditional interferometry, there are no fringe maps to reduce. Other features of the technique include a phase accuracy of better than λ/100, high spatial resolution, and application to dynamic optical phenomena.
