Use of Polychaetous Annelids as Test Organisms for Marine Bioassay Experiments
SourceThe procedures for culturing three species of polychaetous annelids from egg to egg under laboratory conditions are described for Neanthes arenaceodentata, Capitella capitata, and Ctenodrilus serratus. The materials and methods required to conduct short-term, long-term, and complete life-cycle bioassays are outlined. The importance and use of these test organisms in marine bioassays is discussed.
