Alternative physical properties of emulsions were explored to define a linear equation which was correlated to emulsion stability so that liner regression techniques could be applied. Analysis of the oil phase separation by Karl Fischer titration, oven solids, and anionics response provide linear data sufficient for predicting results. A method for entering the composition of emulsifiers into currently available software for regression analysis by using ratios of significant components is discussed.
