Temperature Dependence of the Complex Modulus for Fiber-Reinforced Materials
SourceTo examine the time-temperature dependence of fiber-reinforced composite materials, forced vibration experiments have been conducted. After suitable statistical smoothing techniques have been applied to the raw data, the complex moduli (storage and loss moduli) of boron-epoxy and graphite-epoxy have been determined for a wide range of temperatures and frequencies. The materials are shown to exhibit an Arrhenius type of behavior.
