Over the period of the last decade, numerous flowable (suspension concentrates) pesticide formulations have been developed using various manufacturing processes.

This paper deals briefly with the reasons for development of this type of formulation and the process and development problems encountered by the author and outlines the physical test procedures.

Physical tests such as specific gravity, particle size analysis, viscosity, and pH are mentioned, along with sampling problems which have been encountered in the field after these products were stored in a warehouse for some time. The need for standardization of physical test methods is mentioned.
